Keeping The Flame Alive For Our Veterans

The War Memorial Center was founded in 1954.
The  purpose of the War Memorial Center is “To Honor the Dead by Serving the Living”.
It was built to honor our veterans who died during war time service to our country.

Only Because Of Our Veterans Generousity
Does The Art Museum/Calatrava Exist On Milwaukee's Lakefront.

This momument, stands as a fitting memorial to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Services.
The War Memorial Center was dedicated on Veterans Day 1957 to "Honor Our Fallen Hero's"
 



 
 

As you look over the scenic and wonderful views of the War Memorial Center,
you can understand why this Veterans monument and grounds is crucial to
our current Veterans and for all future generations of Veterans. Its location on
the shores of Lake Michigan is priceless.

The War Memorial Center South entrance and parking was given to the Art Museum by the Veterans.
For many years our handicapped and older Veterans had to manuever through construction.
